Question about GT takeoffs...

Default Question about GT takeoffs...

When someone says I got GT take off or w/e do they mean they actually got the exhaust from a GT mustang or is that the name of the stock exhaust on a GT "takeoff's"......??? Thanks.

The "take off"came from a GT that was upgraded to different exhaust,wheels,hood,or whatever.

Thanks for the info.....but why would someone want to put GT Takeoffs on there stang for there exhaust system when they could go buy Flowmasters and sound alot better, Im guessing?

GT takeoffs sound fine on a V6, have you ever heard one with them? The 2 1/4" diameter pipes on a GT takeoff have some benefit in keeping your low end torque intact by maintaining more backpressure than aftermarket 2 1/2" catbacks. The stock midpipe on both V6 and GT models is 2 1/4" by the way.
