I have the ground while running line connected when trying to program. Are you saying to disconnect it when trying to program? What should it light up as when testing with my probe?

Just disconnect it, and see if the pkall LED indicator flashes when you give it the power cable connection. Assuming it(pkall LED indicator) either flashes or stays/goes off, then try programming it again.

1200 posts! woot! 600 of which from this thread..Yeah boooooi.

Also, when trying to program at step 3, does it do this?:
If the LED is flashing at this point the module is already Programmed
and can’t be programmed again. (To prevent malicious use this module
can be programmed in only one vehicle.)

When disconnected, the LED just comes on and stays on.

Thanks so much for helping me man. You have no idea how grateful I am for you. Without you, my Mustang would end up in a lake!

No it doesn't. It doesn't flash at all at any point in the programming sequence. The only time it turns off is when I hold down the button after I remove the 2nd key like that one manual says and which case it turns off for a brief second and then turns back on.

Then it's still able to be programmed, so did you try using the generic programming directions that I linked previously on page 14 of that document? It requires you to hold the button in after the 2nd key til it flashes again. Then hook the ground while running back up fast, and remote start.

Then:
If the LED flashes 10
times, the module is
programmed.
If the LED turns ON, repeat
from step 1.
EDIT: I had a bunch more here, but you verified it will start without the bypass with ttocs earlier, so long as valid key is in the ignition already. So it IS the bypass only that is the issue.

So long as that still holds true, just keep trying the different programming methods, something is either being done wrong, not fast enough, or your wiring for the pkall is wrong somewhere.

If you still can't get it after awhile I'd contact xpresskits directly Toll-Free: 1-800-361-7271, likely they can tell you pretty fast if it's already been programmed, or if you funked the wiring somewhere.

Well, I'll call tech support when they are open, not at 4AM...

THIS is the joy of doing a remote start and why I always recomend paying for the install. Even seasoned pros will run into issues like this, the wires are not always where/what they are supposed to be.

So, you get a xpresskit tech to help you figure this out?

If you bought it locally, might be an idea to just exchange it. Flash new one, and try again; verifying the LED diagnostics along the way.

All that time, and you're not going to spend the extra bit to finish it off? Call, email, something...

Naw-dude. Dude-naw...

Reminds me of the Renovation Reality shows Person starts a home renovation project with little or no experience, mistakes along the way (ignoring some very sage advice from others in some cases) and ends up at the end of the show with a half finished, mishmoshed, semi-completed project.
