Default Just a quick question...

Last week I got my oil changed. Got amsoil synthetic put in my 08 v6 but the man (my girlfriends uncle) used this "prime" oil filter. Didn't read too many good things about it online so I went out to buy what I usually use, Mobil 1 and was thinking of just changing filter. My question is whether it's possible to remove the filter without any oil draining. I don't wanna take it back to him and potentially hurt his feelings/appear ungrateful.

Just change it yourself and use your own filter.

Yes you can. There will be some loss, so you'll have to top it off. If the filter isnt leaking or about to burst, id just leave it until the next oil change. Buck up and do it yourself!
