Seeing that its stock I would just use a 155 cause you dont really need any more than that ,but if you plan on some mods in the future go with the 255 because you might need the extra pressure

Default RE: Fuel Pump? which one?

i dont like starting new threads when i don’t have to so i though i would reopen this one. I am in the same dilemma. I currently converting my 4cyl to a V8 and seeing i have to upgrade my fuel pump anyway, i wanted to get a bigger one. Will if cause any problems having a high output fuel pump on a stock motor? Stock with the exception of some bolt ons. I want to add a Kenne Bell SC at some point down the road. Suggestions?

I have the same question about injectors. I need new one and wanted to go ahead and get injectors that will support the SC but i don’t want to get them if i may cause any damage.

Thanks for the help.

They won't, just watch the tune... you'll need to keep an eye on the fuel pressure, which will be taken care of when you get it tuned. After you add the blower, all you'll need to do is get it re-tuned.

Yeah... what year are we talking here? An aftermarket regulator would work great... when it's getting tuned, you'll have to adjust the pressure to perfect your A/F ratio. If it can be controlled from the ECU, even better (variable voltage to the fuel pump to give correct pressure).

my car is an 87 4cyl. i will be putting in a new roller 5.0 using the upper and lower intake, fuel rails, injector harness, and so on from an 88 5.0. I would like to use a harness from an 89 so i can get a MAF ecu and harness with out having to rewire my dash to work with the engine harness.

Well I have a practically new Walbro 255 pump. I installed it and when I went and got my car tuned the next day I found out it wouldnt give me enough fuel. It should be fine for you since you have a return style fuel system. Make a reasonable offer.
