Default Paint on interior panels

The old owner of my GT painted some of the plastic interior trim pieces, cup holder, and AC vents. Is there a way to remove the paint or should I just buy new pieces?

I think it would look better to replace them, be alot easier too. Check out late model restoration, they have all kinds of interior parts.

I've been there. They will never look right. Late Model Restoration and CJ Pony Parts are the best places to get resto parts for you ride. If they don't have it, I had better at the junk yards then I did on ebay. Generally ebay looks decent in the pics and then it shows up and it's all ghetto. Buys from part outs here on the MF have been pretty good so far knock on wood.

I have heard that simply soaking them in brake cleaner will take the paint right off. Worst case scenario you just have to replace them anyway.

if you can take the panels off and refinish them properly would be idea to save you money. to remove the paint you can use rubbing alcohol.
