Default engine swap aftermath future problems-help

well i got the 01 s281 in my stang right now, with my old computer and fuel rail hooked up to it. my question is, for supercharging this engine...i would need an 01 supercharger (whatever brand) but what would i do considering my fuel system is not returnless? as far as injectors and the fuel pump? would i need to convert to a returnless system? if anyone could clear this up that would be great. once again, the 96 and the 01 gts have different fuel systems, or at least the motor i got did so i need to figure out what im gonna do when i supercharge it. thanks again!

I'm not too sure whether or not, you need to convert to a returnless system. I wouldn't think you would. If you happen to have a problem with fuel pressure, buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. If you had to convert I would think that would require a bit of money. I believe on the returnless, the fuel pressure sensor feeds into the logic of how much the pump puts out. On the return style system, the pump puts out the same amount, and you have a fuel pressure regulator diverting excess fuel back to the tank to maintain pressure. What does your mechanic think you need? Hope this helped some.

i didnt really discuss it with him, i was more concerned with getting the stang back on the road than supercharging it. but now im trying to figure out if i need a kit designed for a 99+ or a 96-98. the fuel rail for the 99+ wont work on the motor because my fuel system, so we used the old rail. and the 99+ saleen supercharger wont work with that rail because it wont fit right, so it would need to be modified. so i think if i stayed with a return style system i would have to just get a 96-98 supercharger, right? but then theres the accesories belt and pulleys issue, they are different on the 99+ so an intake mounted supercharger wouldnt work.
