Battery, Starter, or Alternator?
Hello, I have an 06 v6 Ford Mustang. I think something is draining the battery. The battery has died a few times on me and I was forced to Jump it with my other car. This process actually takes 1+ hours. This last time I drove to work and when I went to leave the car would not start. I put the key in and all the lights come on. I go to start it and I hear ONE click and nothing else. It doesnt even try to start.
Well I went to walmart and bought a battery for it. I installed the battery and went to start the car and nothing...same thing.
Could it be that the new battery needs to be charged?
Is it my Starter?
Or is it my Alternator?
Thanks in advance!

Hmm, I'm going to say alternator, even tho it is possible that the new battery may not be at full charge. Once you do get your car to start, unhook the negative battery cable. If the car dies that means the alternator is shot.
Fixed the problem. I was 100% sure it was the starter so I started to troubleshoot with a friend and theres 2 bolts 1 for the POS and 1 for the NEG. One of the bolts securing one was loose...Tightened it up and it started right up.
