I just got this tach new, SUNPRO SUPER TACH III, I have a Mallory 6A box and according to the instructions, the yellow wire is for the tach, but it doesn't work?? I've seen other threads where people needed some kind of a tach adapter box? Has anyone run into this problem? I'm thinking the tach might just be bad? Please respond if you know what's up!!

Good luck. My SunPro never read correctly, RPM's were off about 2-300. Sorry cant answer your question, just giving you a heads up.

You sure you got a good splice? Good ground? Check the simplest stuff first.

 

I used the battery for the pos and neg, and used the box for the rpm's and also the coil, nothing. I guess Mallory says I need an adapter...
