Default What year responds to engine mods the best?

79-2010

Which engine responds to mods the best? By mods I mean H/C/I/Tune(Sport and Street parts). I just feel my 1994 with the parts I have put on, it doesn't ring out the numbers I am wanting. Plus I hate the fact I have a T5 transmission.

Each type of motor will respond differently to various modification. A H/C/I will give you the biggest bump on the pushrod 5.0L based cars. The 4.6L cars respond very well to cams and boost.

What H/C/I combo did you with and what were your numbers? What were you hoping for? The T5 isn't a bad thing if it's built right.

I have cheap stuff, but I want to do all trick flow kit with stage 2 cam. All my car mods I have right around 300 at the flywheel. Its just not giving the kinda power I want right now. My buddies LS1 is rocking my world(not stock). I know if I rebuild and do forged bottom end and go with a trick flow kit, then get the KB I want I gotta do something with the T5. (KB will be last, if I even get one)

List of my mods;
Performance Tune
Cobra Upper Intake
Gt40 Lower Intake
GT40P Heads
BBK 70MM TB
Professional Products FPR
Walbro 255 fuel pump
24# injectors
Scorpion 1.72 Roller Rockers
MAC CAI
MAC Shorty headers
Under Drive Pulleys kit
UPR X Pipe
Mac Pro Dumps

Those shorty headers are costing you more than you think. When you go with good mods, get TFS heads and 1 3/4 longtube headers to go with them.......

They were on it when I bought it. I would have gotten long tubes, I may get some long tubes when I get my factory tips put back on, because I am going to get new mufflers... I am not a fan of the dumps.
