h i, I need help with my 98 Mustang Power windows. I am converting it to a drag car and I have removed all the wiring from the car. The wires are still intact were they enter the doors. I wish to make the power windows work again but I am not sure what to do. I have a wiring diagram and I feed the wire that goes to the switch but nothing happened. Could I be missing a ground. Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks Joe

What do you mean nothing happened? When you press the window switch, does nothing happen? If so, put a multi-meter to as close to 12 volts as possible without going under and touch the leads to the two wires going into the window motor. With the key in the ON position, press the window switch (doesn’t matter what direction) you should get a 12 volt reading. If you don’t then either you have a short to ground somewhere or a break in the wiring.

Touch one multi-meter lead to one wire, and the other lead to a good ground. Then push the window switch in both directions. You should get 12 volts in one direction & zero in the other. If you get 12volts on both then you have a break in the wiring on the ground side. If you get zero on both size, then you have a break on the power side.
