How do you tell the year of a transmission if there is not any markings. I have what I was told is a 64 1/2 or 65 3 speed C4 tranny. I have purchased shift kits for both and none of them will fit. Will appreciate any help.

 

take the pan off go to the parts store they will have a chart (napa does any way) just match up the pan with the correct tranny it will tell ya what years it was used.
