Not a real common problem with the distributor cap, but you could replace it, or make sure its tight. Does it crank over and stuff? If so, distributor is good cause, and check to see that water isnt getting into the wire connections to bat and transformer and to distributor, etc. Obviously some water and moisture is setting up somewhere, just make sure you close the hood when it rains.
