Default Third Brake Light

I have a 98' Mustang Third brake light is out. I can get a used one for about $10-20 or go for a new one where the prices vary for separate models.

Should I go for the used one? Does the stock bulb go out a lot? and Is the price jump (about $20-40 extra) worth it for the brand new one?

Any help appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hi, are you talking just about the bulb? or the entire brake light housing?

It is just the bulb. The housing is fine and the wiring looks to be in great condition.

If the housing and wiring aren't damaged in any way, id just replace the bulb...that is unless you want an LED or tinted light, then replace the whole thing.

Okay thanks. Thats what I thought. Just making sure that the bulb was worth getting a replacement!
