what muffler size does 98 v6 mustang use?

what muffler size does 98 v6 mustang use?
was going for a exhaust system but decided to just replace the muffler. I went to the shop and the guy said would be best to get 2" inlet/outlet double offset muffler. But I thought the stock muffler is 2.25"?

According to www.rockauto.com, its a 2” pipe. But you could crawl under your ride and measure to be sure.
