The Lincoln Mark VII rearend will fit your 88 GT as long as you are not running extremely wide tires. This is the same rear that was used in the SVO. Before you purchase you need to verify the rear is from and LSC or it will not be as good as your current 8.8. If you are only looking to move to 5 lug, I would recommend purchasing new stock length 5 lug axels. You can by new TMD units on ebay in a 5 lug kit for about $270 delivered. This kit include New 5 lug front rotors, rear axels and rear drums. If you are wanting to move to the rear disc of the Lincoln it is going to require more work and parts. I have done this conversion on the T-bird and Mustang. Currently I am running a Mustang 8.8 with TMD (stock length) 5 lug axels and a modified Lincoln rear disc brake system.

You really need to ask yourself "what am I wanting to accomplish?"

i want rear disc brakes and 5 lug.... i alredy have the front spindles and clipers/brake lines from a 98 gt now i need the rear setup. ive decided im not going the lincoln route..

i would really like to find a 94/95 GT rear from disc to disc and just install that.... next is 3.73's but yeah if i cant find an 8.8 with disc for cheap enough im just going to buy the axles and drums and forget about the disc..

will all i need is a new proportioning valve for the brakeS?
