My cat back Bassani setup should arrive today, and I plan on doing this install with a friend who does work on his own car.

Most likely I'll be getting tips and pointers from him, but I'm looking for a quick checklist of equipment and considerations before going under, since this will be my first time.

Lifting process - What equipment/brands do you suggest? The plan was to pick up jackstands and a lift, but I'm seeing different opinions on options.
And what about the order you jack the wheels in? One side, then the other? Or front then back?

Tools - I'll be looking over the instructions, and checking tutorials online. But are there tools you've found you needed beyond what's "required"? Maybe a cutting tool?

Any other considerations?

BTW my car is a 2013 GT
