Noob questions to ponder re 2012 v6 auto
Airraid, Borla, lightening efforts, nice fluids. *Koni adjustables and Ford Racing strut mounts collecting dust waiting for some time off work. *Bought for a daily driver beater but turns out this particular consumer product is hilarious and entertaining.
Looking for staggered wheels front 18x8, rear 18x10, at least as light as factory. *Everywhere you look it's 9 and 10's. *Looking for muscle but light, anybody know of anything? *Need weight info to pull the trigger.
Auto trans. *Fourth gear is where she wants to be when rolling down the slab. *I shift from 3rd to D and it just goes 4th, 5th, 6th, in some hyper frenzy to eke out some mpg stat. *I need to have better access to 4th. *It seems like the factory shift points for 4-5-6 are 1500rpm, no thanks. *Is there some kind of shift kit for real control? *If not, why not. *Do I have to buy a programmer to move the 4th gear shift point to somewhere around 4k rpm to get real world driveability? *Without changing anything else? *I would so much rather push six buttons than suffer this setup. *Bought the auto trans 'cuz of the crawling hours-long evening commute back to home. *I have spent the last two months trying to bury/modulate the go pedal to become the master of fourth gear during spirited driving and it sucks and sounds like either tran abuse or clueless shifting.
Lights. *I can't stand the headlights always on. *I like the Ford light switches from just a few years ago. *Three positions----all off, markers, headlights. *Is there a kit or instructions on how to convert back so the dang headlights are not always on? *It was only a few years ago that if you had your headlights on in the daytime, people would see you as either an idiot or pathetic driver.
