Default fender well/non fender well

What is the difference betwen the fender well and non fender well version of BBK cold air intake. Which one is better? Which one should I get for my 89 Mustang GT?

one the pipe goes right to your inner fender with a round filter there, so that is draws cold air from in there, the other just goes to the fender and not inside, so can still get hot air off the motor and wont give as much power because of it.

go ahead and get the fender well the car is designed to pull are form the fender so your not gonna hurt any thing. infact pulling hot air can mess with the mass air.

also the one in the engine bay tends to have idle issue due to the air wash over the filter

It's all a matter of personal opinion. It's 6 one way and a half dozen another.
