Just wanted to see if anyone could tell me how to find out if my car has a different chip in it or not. It's a 99 mustang cobra. Thanks

 

I'm not sure exactly, but you need to find the computer. I believe someone has asked this before, and the reply he got was that is was behind the passenger side kick panel. After that I'm not quite sure.

 

Once you find the ECU. look at the chip. If it says FoMoCo or Ford, it's PROBABLY stock. If it says Ford Racing, or anything else, it's PROBABLY not stock. Get the part number off the chip and call the dealer parts dept. Ask them the part number for a replacement chip.
