Does USPS not like bigger items?
I'm not a huge shipper. In fact I could probably count on both hands the amount of things I've ever shipped-most of which had been smaller. Normally when I buy small stuff off eBay it arrives with in a week. I've recently shipped two wheels with USPS.
I'm from southeast Missouri. One went to Pennsylvania and took a week and a half. The other to Tucson, AZ and it took two weeks! One wheel I shipped to Nebraska with FedEx and it was delivered the next day after shipping at three in the afternoon! Has anyone else had similar experiences or can elaborate on why USPS takes so much longer on bigger items. I guess I can chalk this one up to a lesson learned and pay two or three more bucks for way better shipping time, because I know if someone was shipping me a wheel I'd want it as soon as possible! The only problem is the nearest FedEx drop off is 30 minutes from my house...

my experience with larger items is that USPS fees ramp up more quickly. transit times don't seem to follow. of course, you should take into account that some places in this country are dealing with freezing weather that they're not accustomed to.
