I'm looking at a back seat delete kit, like this one:

I don't use a back seat for humans, only to transport my 2 dogs, one of them 7 lbs., the other 45 lbs. The disclaimer on these day they're not for storage, carrying heavy items blah blah. I was planning on putting some anchors for their little safety belt things (basically tethers to keep them from becoming projectiles in a crash)..

Looking for answers to 2 questions from people who have installed one of these kits:

1. Do these sit flat? Hard to tell from the photos.

2. Would these hold my bigger dog, and potentially a second dog of that size? I'm not above taking a brand new seat delete kit and attaching reinforcements on the bottom if needed, but out of the box functionality is always better.
