Default Tuner issue - Is this bad?

So there was a little miscommunication when I ordered my CAI/Tuner package from AM.

I ordered the Steeda intake and BAMA tunes. I assumed that when they seen what package I had ordered, they would automatically write the tune accordingly (that is, with the Steeda intake figured in).

Anyway, when I filled out my vehicle's information, I just put in it's current components at the time (basically everything being factory, including the airbox), again thinking they wanted to know what my cars current set up was and then writing the tune according to the package I ordered.

Well, I installed the CAI and tune and when I started her up, she ran ROUGH. I called BAMA and they advised that's because they wrote the tune for the factory airbox. They are currently writing me new tunes and said I should have them by the end of the day. Great customer service as usual.

Anyway, my question now is, did I hurt my car at all? I didn't drive it, I just started it and let it idle for a few seconds until I realized, it wasn't going to stop spitting an sputtering and then turned it off.

Yeah, it looks like there was just a little miscommunication. You probably didn't do any harm to the car. We're correcting your tunes as we speak and will be emailing over the updated file shortly!

The tunes should be perfect and you'll be in good shape! Let us know if you have any further questions or need some assistance in the near future. We appreciate your business and loyalty!

Thanks so much. I ended up receiving the updated tunes right away from you guys. Uploaded them, and she fired right up and purred like she was stock. Unfortunately, we got about SIX INCHES of f'ing snow last night, so it would be pointless to take it out now.

All I was able to do was back it out of the garage and then reposition out of the way for the wify's vehicle. Already notice the throttle response is much improved; and it felt like more torque under foot just moving it around in the garage.

Awesome! I'm glad to hear that the new tunes already showed up and that they fixed the issue. Honest mistake!

I'm with ya on the snow! We didn't get quite 6" of Snow but it definitely snowed. Luckily it wasn't enough for the plow trucks to ruin the roads with the plows or salt this time. The roads are pretty torn up in PA from this horrible winter!

Let us know how you enjoy the tune once you get a chance to take the car out!
