Default cost of body work

I need to get some body work done, I was going to do it my self but now that the weather got so crapy already i have no way to do it. I am now going to go to a body shop, I just wanted to get some opinions on how much it would cost. The areas that need work are; both rear wheel wells have rust in the middle of the arc above the tires, the rear quarter panels in front of the tires before the rocker panel need rust repair and the passenger rocker panel where it rounds upward twards the door striker needs to be patched up. I will post pics soon but if any one can give me a range of prices it would be appreciated

Depends on if you want it fixed the right way or not. The right way would be to cut all the rust out and weld in patch panels, heres the catch though, most likley there is more rust than you think there and you just can't see it untill you get further into the repair. My guess is that it will run at least $1000-1500 to get all the rust cut out and repaired plus priming and painting. Body work is very time consuming and requires a lot of skill.

My GOD, I just had painted the rear window scoops, lower scoops, the front spoiler and a hood scoop that sits on the factory hood $799 and thats with a break because he's a family friend of my wifes. Now he is at a dealership, but told me everywhere the price of paint and everything else has gone up=( In late eighties and early 90's I could have had the whole car repainted for $1,000. I guess times are changing=(

you really do need to get it done "right", if you plan on keeping the car or you will end up seeing rust coming through the paint again within a year, which is a waste of whatever money you spent to get it done. I would pay the extra and get a guarantee from the shop.

rust = cancer

It's easier and probably cheaper to just get new fenders for the front..
