Default headlight switch ****

I am putting white gauges in my 02 mustang and i was wondering if anyone knows how to get the headlight **** off. i looked in my hanyes manual and it said to use a small screwdriver to push in a tab to release it and mine seems to be different than the one in the haynes manual. please help

Bend a paper clip into a hook shape, pull the headlight switch on, and turn the plastic headlight **** so that you can see the slot that runs along the underside of it. Run the hook along this slot toward you (sitting in the driver's seat) until it engages a small clip. Pull up and toward you and it will release.

On mine I just pulled real hard. Then again, I replace mine with a billet one.
