Default Need help with busted window

I have a 99 Stang and my driver side window is slipping out of the black bracket at the bottom of the glass. The dealer says that I have to replace the whole window and that the bracket can't be glued to the glass. I took the door panel off and it already as clear silicone on both brackets. What's the deal? Can you glue this thing or not? I'm thinkning some kid of Gorrila Glue or Black RTV.

First, taking it to the dealer was a bad idea.

Take it to an experienced auto glass shop. They will know how rig something up for you!!

on my first car, a cutlass int, i had a similiar situation, and used jb weld to plant the glass to the glass frame.. now granted i was in college and broke so that was my only option, but it held for another 4 years(blew the motor out of it) with no problems

Thanks for the advice guys. I went out to Discount Auto and bought some SUPER EPOXY. The only thing super about it was the price. Once the window goes up enough to be waterproof it torques the window and no good. I'm gonna try and go up to the scrap yard and see if they have a window I can use. I'll let you guys know what happens.
