I know it does have to be reprogrammed. Maybe the antenna on the car got messed up some how.

 

Shouldnt have to be reprogrammed after new batteries, that would be one hell of a waste of time if everytime you had to do that. I just put in new batteries and its just fine. The place to reprogram it is in the trunk on drivers side behind all the molding. I forget exactly how, but it's not hard. If it just quit working, smack it against something, and maybe you put the batteries in wrong. If still won't work, go to dealer and have them redo it or get a new one. </P>

 

To program: turn your key from theoff to run position8 times within 10 seconds ending in the run position.... the doors will lock and unlock, then press any button on the remote once within 7.5 seconds from the doors locking and unlocking, the doors should lock and unlock again to confirm that the remote was programmed, then turn the key to the off position and your done..<IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>Black Horse</editID><editDate>37977.8100578704</editDate></edited>
