Question 2008 Programming & Warranty?

Hey guys, I recently acquired a 2008 Mustang GT, and I have a 3yr/36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty on her.

So my question is, can you tune a 08 mustang, and remove the tune without a trace if an issue were to arise?

Thanks for the info in advance.

No. The dealer can tell how many times the PCM has been flashed even if you return the stock tune before you go to the dealer for work.

You may not have noticed this - but 2008 is more than 3 years ago. The bumper to bumber warranty has expired, if you are referring to the factory warranty that came with the car when new.

If it's a non-factory warranty then I doubt it is covered by Ford, even if you overpaid the dealer for it.

LOL....You'd be surprised....Some people think that the original bumper to bumper would still apply or they will misread the window sticker.

So who is the warranty through? Even if you bought it *at* a Ford dealer doesn't mean it is not a 3rd party warranty that you can use at a repair shop of your choice.
