Default 2000 GT engine miss. Help!

Hello. I have a 2000 mustang GT with the 4.6L v8 engine. it is completely stock engine wise. It has around 120,000 miles an I have had it for about four months now. As I was driving it today I noticed a small miss around 2000 rpms. When I later got back in the car to drive home it started again and progressively got worse. It now does it from about 2000-4000 rpms and you can feel the car buck when it does it. Any ideas on what it could be or how to fix? My friend suggested that there might be water in my coils. Thanks in advanced for any advice!

When was the last time the car had a tune-up? Are you sure you are not running on the original plugs?

You might get a better response by posting in the forum for your model year.

I'd suggest going to a trusted shop / Ford to have them take a look.

Alright I will look into it. I also noticed today while driving home that it does it the worse in 5th gear any time I accelerate. Thank you for your advice!

I honestly haven't got to give it a tune up since I've had it. The previous owner didn't tell me either. All I have done since I've had it is change oil. A tune up will be the next thing on my list. Thanks for the help!

I'd pull the codes to see what cyl. is misfiring and inspect that coil.
