So I did a stupid thing and backed over a curb that I had no idea was there and in the process, the little black box that sits between the two mufflers is hanging from the underside of the car. First, what the heck is it and what does it house? Two, do you think it is easy to fix or should I not chance it and have Ford look at it. It looks like there are screws that were used to attach but obviously these snapped off, but not 100% sure. Any help or guidance would be great. It is a 2014 convertible mustang.

 

It's to do with the evaporative emissions system, it houses the vapor canister and related parts ..... either reattach it or visit a salvage yard.
