Default Help with window problem

I have a 2001 mustang convertible that recently has developed a problem with the power windows. As in suddenly they don't work. I checked the fuse under the dash and changed it out. The window did work to lower it but then it wouldn't work again to raise it. Whatever the problem is affects all the windows. I made sure it wasn't an issue of the windows were locked. However, am curious if the locking mechanism could possibly be stuck???? At any rate am frustrated because I feel I cant drive her often because of the chance of a pop up spring rain.
One other thing, my brother removed the window switch, checked it and cleaned it before replacing it.
Any ideas?????

Thank you for your assist, Cindy Grogan
