if hes proned to get a import, like neo said have him check out the 93-95 twin turbo 300z. thats his best bet for a import.

Or tell him to go drive that RX-8 and then drive a Stang or Camaro. Your post said he is impartial so that means he is open to either one correct? Nice LS1's can be had for $10-15000. Don't over look them they are fast even in stock form and not that hard to work on.

 

if he wants a import a first or second gen gsx eclipse would be nice with the right mods they can be made fairly quick cheap.

of coarse a 5.0 would be nice but if he goes the chevy rout stay away form the lt1's go ls1 they are a lot faster.
