put the ecu from the blown engine in im pretty sure your anti theft system is tied into the ecu in which case the roller isnt reconizing the ecu from the new engine
I changed the ecu because I kept hearing I needed the ecu that went with the engine that was running, I am really stuck, if you have any more ideas please pass them on,
thanks a million
someone posted that the electronics might not be communicating, I tried to start it again and the theft light is blinking very fast, it is my sons car so I don't know if that is normal or not.
ya its theft light is blinking because your using the ecu from the totaled car the new car doesnt reconize it. so if you have the ecu that came out of the rollor put it back in. if not you gonna have to go to the dealer or find somewhere that can unlock you new ecu

This is why I asked if the PCM was energizing the injectors.
I do not know how to check to see if the pcm is energizing the injectors
Use a test light or volt meter to probe the connections at the injectors. Have a buddy crank the car over. If the light flashes or the volt meter pulses then the injectors are firing. If you get nothing then that means the pcm is not energizing the injectors and you have a problem with the fuel system. It could be a missing ground, or just a PATS problem.
