I don't know what kind of fire you have, but if you mean to say it WON'T crank, check the battery and its connections first.

Thanks for your response but I did mention that the car does turn over, if a car has a bad battery and connections it will not turn over enough to start

I suspect that the problem you're experiencing is a "cranks but won't start" issue, but your post hard to read. It kinda looks like you want a crank(shaft?)...

Could you explain how you checked for fuel at the motor ? If with a pressure gauge, what psi was it at ?

You said you had spark, how did you check that ?

Not trying to be disrespectful, but it helps us narrow it down.

And for future reference, "crank" is terminology for the motor spinning over with the starter, not running. "Spark" is just that, you have spark at the plugs. "Fires" is when the motor will try to run, but just on a couple cylinders. It won't run by itself.

Recent motor swap! The biggest clue you give here.

Questions,,,,
Did the engine you swapped in run prior to doing the swap?
Did you perform any type of mait on the swapped engine?
Do you have compression?
What did the engine swap come out of?
Are your injectors being energized by the pcm?

I checked the fuel at the main line when it comes from underneath the car before it goes into the fuel regulator, I didn't have anything there prior to changing fuel pump, I used a spark arrestor to check for fire, I appreciate your response,
motor was running fine when wrecked so I bought another 2002 with blown motor and swapped the motor and tranny at the same time. I took out a 3.8 2002 and replaced it with another 3.8 2002, so yes I took, I have not checked the compression since it was good before. it was sons car so I knew the motor prior to swapping

Dawson mentioned something I never would have thought of: is it possible the electronic parts are not 'talking' to each other yet? Is there a re-boot process for newer engines that we old-timers don't know about?

I changed the ecu also, it is the one from the good engine, last week I sprayed starter fluid in it and it backfired and flamed up, it made me think the timing might be really bad off, anyone with thoughts on that?
Thanks again for the ersponses
