Default Blown Instrumentation Panel Fuse

First of all, I am new to the forum but have been reading for some time now. I recently purchased a '89 GT Conv. which I plan to bring back to life and hopefully, through some research and plenty of forum reading (and posting), turn into a real street machine. I guess that makes me a 'noob' so please be patient. Mechanically the car seems to be in good shape except for a possible electric issue I was hoping someone could give me a little direction with. The car is currently in stock form. Every couple of days I am losing the 15 amp fuse that controls the instrumentation (tach, fuel, voltmeter) and I can't seem to pinpoint the culprit. The last owner replaced the alternator but I must have a short somewhere. Any ideas how to troubleshoot this would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance and please take it easy on a 'noob.'
