Rotor Question

RE: Rotor Question
Cross drilled help cool your rotors, increasing your braking by keeping the heat down and letting gases escape... but may weaken them so they crack and also reduce braking surface area. Slotted rotors basically clean the surface of the pad every rotation with the slots and let built up gasses escape, but they lessen the life of your brake pads by actually slicing off tiny amounts every time your brake
Cross drilling and slotting also decreases the surface area of the rotor (85-93% remains for drilled, and around 93-96% for slotted)

RE: Rotor Question
Unless you're doing racing (and not the 1/4 mile variety, nor street) getting slotted or drilled rotors is mostly an appearance thing. Getting slotted and drilled rotors for a street-driven only car would be like buying a catback for the horsepower gains.
