I want too get my motor back in my 83 convertible glx but think I should replace all my suspension and sway bars and bushings think that's good idea while motors out????
Not a bad idea, but I believe all that stuff is still fairly accessible even with the engine in place. Your call. I think what's more important is that you take this opportunity to put some fresh engine mounts in.
If it was me I think I wouldn't worry about the suspension and stuff while the engine is out that stuff can all be done very easily with the engine in the car. Stuff that I would concentrate on while I had the engine out is, oil pump, main seals, clutch/pilot bearing for manual. Clean up the engine bay maybe even a wire tuck and good paint job of the bay while engine is out.
Sounds like you all set to button her up then. All suspension is easily accessible from under the car with the motor in. No advantage to doing anything with the motor out.
