Just bought our first mustang Saturday. It is a 2016. The voice recognition does not work. It says its unavailable. When I try to upgrade the software it says i have a bad installation file. I downloaded it again on different PC. Formatted Fat32. Still tells me Bad file. I did a master reset and tried again. No luck.

Help.

 

Im pretty sure it needs to be taken to a dealer and have them turn it on. Then depending on what radio system is in the car you may even need a module add on that they program.

 

plus, there have been quite a few bugs with Sync;
Ford has said they don't even know the causes...

 

This is a simple dealer fix, under warranty.
