Default 2018 GT Paint defect suggestions.

So I just bough this 2018 Mustang GT. I noticed this small defect in the paint, it appears to be a piece of dirt or something underneath the paint. The ford dealership wants to repaint this and hold on to the car for 4 days, but I am super paranoid something won't match. I'm looking for what other people would do or what options I have.

Thanks a ton in advance.

I would either learn to live with it or let the dealer do the work. If it doesn't match, have them try again until it does. If you're really that paranoid, ask to take a walk through their shop and see a couple completed vehicles so you can judge the quality of their work ahead of time.

Your only other option would be to pay a body shop of your choosing out of your own pocket, and in doing so may cause issues with whatever factory warranty you have regarding paint.

Agree with Z28KLR on this one. It would drive me crazy. Too big to attempt wet sand and buff?

Thanks for the comments,

I'm not sure if it can be buffed and sanded. Hopefully they will have good news but I'm not going to hold my breath.

Sucks spending a ton on a car to not feel like it was the best purchase ever.
