Tail light wiring help please
I’m wiring an LED strip with mustang tail lights. There’s 3 wires, two positive and one negative. One positive wire (green) is for the lamp to stay on when the lights are turned on, the other positive wire (red) is the indicator and stop wire. The last is a ground. I connect the negative wire on the led strip to the ground wire. However my question is: is there a way to connect the positive wire on the led strip to both the positive wires without them interfering with each other? In other words, is there a special connector that keeps both the wires separate from each other yet transmits power to the LED strip at the same time? I want the led strip to stay emitter and blink when the indicator is turned on at the same time but i cant bc both the positive wires are technically touching causing it to stay solid because the green wire is taking over the red one when the lights are turned on causing the indicator to not work. If you can let me know what kind of connector would do this job even tho idk if it actually exists that would be helpful, thanks!

What you could do, is add a resister in with the GREEN lead, so that the LED is
on 50% power with the parking lights. Then, when you brake or signal, the led
brightens, so it will pulse instead of blink.
You also need to diode isolate each lead.
GREEN (Parking) -----RESISTER-------DIODE-----+LED-----GND
RED (Brake/Signal)-------DIODE-----------------/
You will have to experiment with resisters to get the desired pulse effect.
The way you want it won't work right. The LED will always be at full intensity,
brake, signal, and driving lights. So, even when you brake with the parking
lights on, there would be no change in the LED brightness. All you will get is it
blinking with the signal, or solid on braking with the driving lights off.

Yeah thats exactly what i wanted I wasnt really expecting it to flash. But jnstead pulse like the tail lights do, when i connectedthe positive to both the red and green it made the tail lights stay solid and very bright as if im pressing the brakes already and what u said is exactly what im looking for, thanks!
