Engine performance issue
I'll try to be detailed but there is alot to cover. Thanks for any help I may receive.
I bought an 08 Bullitt that has been heavily modified. Running a supercharged 4.6 stroker. It was running good then power steering pump shaft broke. Removed the cold air intake to access and replace along with new belt. Also filled up gas tank. Tuned to run on 93 but only had 92 available at the time but added octane booster to help. Started the car and now it's running rich. In idle my a/f guage says mixture is 14/95 average but has low performance, can hear cylinders pinging a little, and gives a nice burn to the eyes. If I close my hood and/or put it in gear the a/f guage data drops down to 10/.75 or so.
I have tried new MAF. I know they are supposed to be calibrated for my application but figured a new one would make it alter some way but didnt.
I have checked my evap system and every vaccum hose I could find for leaks.
Moved on to ignition and found my spark plugs are all covered with fuel residue. I changed all of them.
I have changed my fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator as well.
So far nothing has made a difference. It does confuse me how the a/f sensor can read a good mixture at idle and no load with the hood up even though it's running rich.
To add to this the car did sit roughly a year and a half before I purchased it a month ago. I had to replace the thermostat, alternator, and battery. I drove it once running great then the power steering pump broke as I said before. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
