Default Hood Alignment

Hi, this is my first post. Bought a 67 mustang convertible that was in the process of being rebuilt 10 years ago but never finished. I thought I could finish it as I have built a car before but am having a lot of issues with the fenders and hood. I want to discuss just the hood here. A good came with the car but was not installed. I bought hinges for it and attempted to install it after watching some videos on how to do it. I have the gaps correct all around and it is level with the cowl in the center of the car and about half way to the fenders on both sides. However by the time the curvature reaches the fenders the hood is about 3/8" lower than the surface of the fenders. As the hood does not bend to change the curvature I see no way to fix this. Any ideas? I am scared to death that the car is messed up as I see no damage to the hood that would cause this. Here is a pic. The fenders are not bolted down yet but bolting them down would only make the issue worse. Thanks for any suggestions. Not sure why the picture is so huge. I'll have to figure out a better way to post them.

They make shims to lift that in spot.

If you put shims in to raise the corners how do you keep the center from raising also. It is lined up correctly.

You got to get the proper thickness to bring up sides enuff that center is not to hi. Sometime you got to split the diffrence.
