Default Fitting catback properly

I purchased a magnaflow catback and did the installation with Jack stands. I had a hard time aligning the pipes. Does anyone have any tips on how I can get the best fitment. Do I need to install the supplied hangers because I couldn't figure out how they get installed. The OEM hangers worked just fine I believe.

I still could use some tips on how any of you here did the adjustments properly.

The alignment is always the hardest. Shops typically use Transmission Jacks and other jacks to hold the pipes in place while they fuss around with the actual alignment. In some cases using aftermarket hangers will give you some flexibility in alignment that makes things go easier. Use them if you need to. In some cases, cutting is also a necessity. To determine if cutting is needed, set the pipes next to the stock ones or on top of them and see how the bends may differ. The length may appear to be ok but if they have different bends, those differences in angles may change the length required for your particular install as the routing may hit things you have to now compensate for.

I tried installing a dual exhaust system with hi-flo cats on my 00 v6 many years ago. In my case I was going from single exhaust to dual exhaust. Ended up taking a couple of inches from the H pipe and going to a shop for final alignment.
