Asking here has anyone used the bbk 1788 or 1741 air filter on there mustang? Can you confirm the inlet id is 3.5" or 3 3/8"? I seeing if one will work or fit a 99 corvette but figured they may be more common with mustangs.

 

Well after looking at it i guess no one uses the 1741 which is advertised as a 3.5" inlet oval tapered filter for certain CAI plenums on ford vehicles. I had got the dimensions for the 1741 which actually reads 3 3/8" inlet vs the 1788 which is 3.5" inlet. I think i found a better filter the volant 5123 should fit perfect.

 

It arrives today hopefully works out great to replace the dual cone air filter setup directly off the maf sensor.
