Wasn't sure where to post this so hope people will find it. I am posting for my dad on his car.

The dash is very dark and difficult for him to see normally, but when dark the dash lights up and very easy to see.
He is wondering where the dash lights night time sensor would be and if tape was put over it would the dash lights remain on?

Dash lights come on with the headlights. There is a dimmer switch to make them darker or lighter at that point.
