A4LD not shifting into 4th
I have a 93 Mustang with the 2.3L 4-Cylinder and an A4LD trans. 78,000 miles. When I bought the car it has been sitting in a garage for 8 years without starting. Had it transported from MI to FL. After cleaning up the gas and doing other various repairs I started it up only to find it was leaking trans fluid badly out of the front seal. Pulled the trans off (not an easy job on a 31 year old car with no lift
). The fluid was very clean and the filter was clean but still changed them. Put in new front and rear trans seals. Now the trans doesn't leak at all and shifts fine in all gears but it will not go into 4th (overdrive). At 65 MPH I am doing 3500 RPM because it is still in 3rd. I rechecked the electrical connections (2 of them) on the trans and they are fine. What checks do I need to do to find out what is causing it not to shift into 4th? I "assume" that the car shifted fine in the past. Bought it from family and they would have told me if it wasn't right (I assume again)

Well, no one replied yet so I went ahead and tested for power going to the transmission. I stuck a pin into the red wire going to the trans. Turned the ignition ON and no power. Started up the car and still no power. Put the trans in D and OD and still no power. What next???
