Default 2008 mustang cs

Had a 2008 mustang CS and sold it 2012 since then been wanting another one. Found one however I’m questioning if it is original. The front door panels have carpet on them instead of the vinyl that would match the seats. I have never seen carpet on the door panels before. Has anyone else or is this something the previous owner did? Any help would be great im really wanting this mustang. But not if it isn’t original.

More than likely the vinyl peeled off and the prior owner replaced it with the carpet option. It didn't come from the factory that way. The vinyl peeling off the doors on the S197 is common.

Carpet on the door is not original but, having experienced the door vinyl peeling on my gt and our old 2006 Escape, and replacing it with carpet, the carpet wins hands down. Not floor carpet but carpet as found on speaker subwoofer enclosures. Any type of vinyl replacement doesn't last in extreme hot or cold environments. I love in AZ
