Rattling from clutch
hello my names Tyler! I own a Manual 2008 4.6 3V Mustang GT, I recently noticed I’m having a strange rattle/growly noise coming from my transmission I believe. This noise happens when the clutch is disengaged and will stop when i engage the clutch. It started off as a light ticking noise resembling an engine tick only after start up and at idle, but yet again would dissipate when I’d press in the clutch. As of the last week it’s gotten significantly worse and now when coming to a slow it sounds much more aggressive and almost sounds like a Jake brake. I’ve been thinking possibly the throw out bearing but I’ve heard that typically the noise only occurs when you press in the clutch which in my case the noise goes away. Any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated thank you!
