Default airbag question

I have a 91 2.3 mustang with 79,000 miles on it. My airbag light has been blinking ever since i baught the car a year ago. and when my brother and I were driving down the interstate last week all of a sudden a buzzer started going off, it would buzz 4 or 5 times in a row then stop and start over again. it did that 3 times in a row. Every 45 min to an hour it would do this going down the interstate. At first i didnt have a clue what it was or where it was coming from. but then i noticed that my airbag wasnt blinking anymore, I think its something for the airbag thats buzzing but im not sure. Does anyone have a clue.

Default RE: airbag question

hey 4popper

did you ever figure out what the problem was?

tim- which contacts in the steering column are you referring to?

we have a '95 V6 that has the same problem, and coincidentally, the battery has been constantly drained - both problems started at the same time so we think it's related.

any info is appreciated- it's becoming a big issue
