Default BRAKES!

Ok my brakes are pretty much gone on my mustang. I have a 1994 gt and was wanting to know what you guys think is the best setup. Should i upgrade to the 13" cobra brakes or just stay with the GT brake and get them cross drilled and slotted? Let me know what you guys think.

I put about 100 street miles a week on it and I dont have any crazy power coming from it either. I want to be able to stop fast but doesnt have to be anything outstanding. I have about $1500 right now to put into it.

you should be fine just upgrading to hawk brake pads and upgrade to braided stainless brake lines. that should give you good enough. if not, look into Baer brake kits.

Yes, good call on upgrading to Hawk pads and SS lines. I ran that combo with the aggressive street pads on my 91 5.0 for 2 years with many auto cross days on them, and they still did great on the street. They will be a little crappy when they are cold but it is worth it for when they warm up. I would recomend getting new disks if you are going to go though all that trouble as well. I ran Pro Slotted rotters on mine as well with out any issues.
