Default Why AutoMeter?

I've been looking for some gauges for my stang, specifically fuel pressure, nitrous pressure, and possible an A/F (narrowband is ok, I just want a heads up to if it is leaning out or not). I've considered AutoMeter for my first choice, but the electric gauges are very expensive ($200 a gauge). A gauge like this ( http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...gid=2487&sid=2 ) is $200. I see the same type of gauges other places for $20, plus ~$40 for the sending unit.

Does anyone have a first hand experience as to why AutoMeter is so much more expensive? I don't think e-mailing them about it will get me far, I'll get the "Our stuff is superior" that pretty much every company is going to give me.

Personally though I stay away from electric gauges, I have had multiple personal experiances where they have been very inaccurate. Mechanical is better IMO, for critical things like oil, temp, etc. obviosly an A/F is going be electric.

i wouldn't use anything but autometer...... i think i used an imitation once , fp guage, it stopped working right the same day...needle would stay stuck at 39 psi.
